Healthy Smoked Salmon

 HOT SMOKED SALMON & GUACAMOLE

Salmon is the common name for fish in the order Salmoniforms.
Salmon are described as anadromous born in fresh water before spending a large portion of their lives navigating the open sea only to swim bucket their birthplace  in order to spawn.
It is an excellent source of high quality protein ,vitamins,and minerals but the content of Omega -3 fatty acid that receive the most attention.
It is a super healthy diet be in lunch or dinner.
Salmon can be purchased as either steaks or fillet,fresh,frozen,canned or smoked.
Once frozen and thawed,it should not be refrozen.
I always prefer fresh salmon fillet.
This tasty smoked salmon is the easiest and fastest way to cook salmon.

INGREDIENTS

For the Glaze


  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tbsp garlic powder.
  • 1tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 2tbsp extra spicy salt free seasoning blend
  • 1tbsp whole oregano
  • 1tsp parsley flakes
  • 1tsp black pepper

For the Fish

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • vegetable oil or olive oil spray 
  • black pepper
METHOD



  • Combine all glaze ingredients in a  bowl.
  • Cut fillets 1 1/2  to 2 inches wide .
  • Place the glaze ingredients in a large casserole  dish .Coat the salmon fillets in the marinade and then place them skinless-side down in the marinade .
  • Marinate for 1hr or overnight .
  • Preheat the oven 375 fahrenheit.
  • Keep the marinated fish in broiler or oven safe pan and cook for 20-25 mints.
  • Cook undisturbed until the fish skin is starting to crisp.
  • Using a flat spatula carefully flip the fillets over and spray some oil.
  • Cook until the salmon is just opaque in the center and cook 4-5 mints more .
  • Transfer to serving plate  and serve immediately  with guacamole .

GUACAMOLE






Guacamole is an avocado based dip  or salad .
It is used in Mexican cuisine also in American cuisine .
It is made by mashing  ripe avocados and sea salt .


INGREDIENTS 


  • 4 peeled ripe avocados
  • 1 1/2 lime juiced
  • 1tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped jalapeno
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1tsp minced garlic
  • 1tsp sea salt
METHOD

In a large bowl scooped avocado pulp  and lime juice toss to coat.
Drain and reserve excess lime juice .
Using a masher add the salt ,cumin  and mash.
Then add onion,tomato,cilantro,garlic ,jalapeño and mash well.
At last add reserve lime juice and keep it in room temperature for 30 mints .
Serve with chips,fish etc.
